Danjuma scores his first goal as a Valencia CF player against Getafe CF
The Dutch forward made his debut on the scoresheet for Valencia CF and did so against an opponent that had resisted him until now.
Hugo Duro started his spell at Valencia CF on the right foot. The forward played his first minutes for the club in the 1-4 win against CA Osasuna. After the match, he spoke to VCF MEDIA about his debut.
"It was a tough game. We knew that this was a difficult ground to come to, where the fans pressure you a lot. In the first half we managed to equalise after going behind, and in the second half we went for the win," he explained.
"I think that the team came out very motivated for the second half and got that small advantage, which was extended by the end. I'm very happy."
Duro also praised the performance of his teammates, pinpointing the equaliser as a key moment in the game.
"The game was difficult and tough, and also different. We got the best out of ourselves to get that small advantage, which allowed us to be more comfortable by the end."
Up next for Valencia CF are opposition that Duro knows well: Real Madrid.
"They are difficult opponents, but we are proving to be a very good team. We are clear about things. We're sure that it will be a tough, beautiful game, and we will look to win."
